Holy Rosary Medical Center, Ontario, includes 50 medical-surgical beds, 8 obstetrics beds, 3 birthingrooms, 8 pediatric beds and an 8 bed critical-care unit. Services include laboratory, diagnostic imaging (mammography, ultrasound, CT scan, mobile MRI, nuclear medicine), respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, hospice, midwives, diabetes education, Goldencare, medical/surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, outpatient oncology, home care, immediate care clinic, occupational medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, durable medical equipment, sports and orthopedic medicine. The surgical department consists of three surgical lasers. They are currently classified as a level III trauma center and have both ground and helicopter ambulance service to two regional medical centers within 50 miles. The hospital employs approximately 480 employees (full time/part time/intermittent).
There are currently 63 physicians on active staff providing services in anesthesiology, dermatology, emergency medicine, family/general medicine, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pathology, pediatrics, radiology, surgery, urology, and operative dentistry.
Ontario also has several Health Care facilities, which offers fast, friendly service. Ontario has Advance Life Support ambulance service (ALS) by a professional company. Airlift is offered out of Boise. Adrian, Jordan Valley, Vale and Nyssa have basic Life Support (BLS) provided by local volunteer ambulance crews. Malheur County levies a special assessment county wide to support ambulance service.
Nyssa and Vale have one or more medical clinics and dental service. Ontario has several dental services, as well as orthodontal and oral surgery service.
Additionally, there are several regional medical centers in Boise, Nampa and Caldwell. Mountain States Tumor Institute, the regional cancer treatment center, is located in Boise with satellite service in Nampa and Fruitland, Idaho.
