POSITION STATUS:                            Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk Mon-Fri w/on-call rotation)
SALARY:                                             $1,960/month

JOB DUTIES:  This position will be physically located in the DA’s Office and will provide immediate crisis intervention and support to victims of crime. The position will provide information and referrals regarding Victim’s Rights and restitution; accompany victims to court hearings, trials and meetings with Juvenile Court Counselors and/or Deputy District Attorneys; coordinate and assist with witness trial preparation and act as a liaison between the DA’s Office, Juvenile Department, Court Counselors and other service provider agencies; maintain computer data entry in DACMS and JJIS.
 
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalency, preferably supplemented by college-level coursework in social sciences related field and/or law enforcement; two years of experience in counseling, social services or community advocacy-type work or satisfactory combination of experience and training. Minimum age of 21.   Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Must possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record and dependable transportation. Must have adequate telephone contact (landline or cell phone). Criminal history and background checks will be completed. Pre-employment drug testing will be required.
