Transporter/Tracker/Technician
DEPARTMENT: Juvenile (Vale, OR)
POSITION STATUS: As Needed, On-Call (days, evenings, weekends & holidays)
SALARY: $12.66/hr
BENEFITS: No benefits

JOB DUTIES: Transporter – This position requires transporting youth in County vehicles securely to and from detention and other out of town placement and local appointments. Tracker – This position assists probation counselors in monitoring/tracking youth that are on probation. Technician – This position provides supervision in the short term holding facility in Vale.

This position is on an as needed basis, on-call only. Depending on need, you may get numerous calls one month and none the next month. If you’re looking for a steady paycheck that comes from a set schedule with a guarantee of hours, this job is not for you.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: Experience and/or training in dealing with at-risk youth a plus. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of individuals, agencies and the public. Ability to work independently. Some computer skills desired. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Must be responsible, reliable, and flexible and have a valid drivers’ license with a good driving history required. Background checks and pre-employment drug testing will be completed. Minimum age 21.
