RE: Increase in Passport Application Fees
The Malheur County Clerks Office has been notified by the US Dept of State, Passport Agency Division, that effective February 1, 2008, the following fees for passport services will be in effect.
WAS WILL BE as of 2/01/2008
DS-11 (age 16 & over) (new application) $67 $75
DS-11 (under age 16) (new application) $52 $60
Execution Fee (w/each DS-11) $30 $25
Expedited Service (w/each DS-11) $60 $60
DS-82 (self renewal by mail) $67 $75
The U.S. Passport Agency will now issue U.S. Passport Cards as well as Passport Books. The Passport cards may not be used to travel by air. Passport Cards are valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean only.
Fees for Passport Cards:
Adults: $45
Minors: $35

RE: Passport Deadline
Currently, all travelers entering the U.S. by air require a passport.
Beginning Summer 2008, All travelers entering the U.S. by land, sea or air will require a passport.
This includes Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
Now is the time to apply. Current processing times for passports is 6 weeks or less. As passport demands go up, the processing time goes up.
Applicants my submit their passport applications to our office, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Except Holidays.
The current fees for applicants 16 years of age or older are $97 and under 16 years of age $82. Expedite Fees are an additional $60 per application. Fee changes are subject to notification from the U.S. Government.
