Malheur County Justice Court Judge
is also the Municipal Court Judge for the cities of Ontario and Nyssa.
- The Court hours are 7:00 a.m. through
3:30 p.m.
- The
Civil/Small Claims Department hours 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Wednesday – no civil
until 9:00 a.m.)
- The 2nd
and 4th Monday is Veteran’s court beginning at 10:00 a.m.
- Tuesday is Juvenile Court day, which begins at 7:00
a.m.
- Wednesday is Traffic Court day, which begins at
7:00a.m., followed by Community Court which begins at 10:00 a.m. Staff
cannot be reached by telephone on Wednesday until after 9:00 a.m.
- Thursday is Truancy Court day which begins at 8:00am
every other week throughout the school year.
- Trials and hearings are held throughout the week.
- Small claims and F.E.D.’s are handled daily except Wednesday.
A bilingual (Spanish) person is on
staff from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
